Faust is a cat mink from North Blue[3] and a member of the Hawkins Pirates, serving as the crew's magician.[1][4]
Appearance
Faust is a cat mink with light-colored fur (black in the anime and in the Digitally Colored Manga pre-timeskip, tan in the Digitally Colored Manga post-timeskip), a large thin mouth, and yellow eyes. They wear a long, dark blue cloak, a white and red striped shirt, a green sash around their waist, and purple pants. They also wear brown shoes, a white ruff, and a necklace with a cross on it.

Personality
Faust seems quite inexpressive, maintaining a calm facial expression most of the time.[1][2][5]
Abilities and Powers
Faust's abilities are unknown, but they are likely quite strong, as they are a member of the Hawkins Pirates. They are also stated to be a "magician".[4]
As a mink, they are a natural-born fighter and can use Electro. They are also able to transform into their Sulong form when they see the full moon, though it is unknown if they can control it.[6]
History
Past
Faust was born somewhere in North Blue and at an unknown point prior to the storyline they met Basil Hawkins and joined the Hawkins Pirates.[3]
Summit War Saga
Sabaody Archipelago Arc
Faust and their fellow crewmates watched as their captain fought Admiral Kizaru. Faust themself seemed unscathed when Urouge and a Pacifista appeared and joined the fray.[1]
Post-War Arc
Faust stood on the deck of their crew's ship after the war, listening to Hawkins as he described Monkey D. Luffy's consistent survival rate.[2]
When the crew arrived at Foodvalten, Faust stood beside their captain as they prepared to fight the Brownbeard Pirates.[5]
Dressrosa Saga
Dressrosa Arc
Faust and their crew celebrated along with crew members from the Kid Pirates and On Air Pirates after forming an alliance with them.[7] During the party, Kaidou crash landed on their island after jumping from a sky island, and Faust, along with others, was blown back by the force of the collision.[8]

Wano Country Saga
One Piece Stampede
Faust and their crew in Pirates Festival.
Faust and their crew attended the Pirates Festival on Delta Island. They participated in the main event, the Treasure Race, safely sailing up the Knock Up Stream and landing on the central Treasure Island, where all the pirates raced for Gol D. Roger's treasure, all the while battling other Worst Generation members. Later, after Bullet was defeated, Faust and their crew successfully escaped from the Marines thanks to the revolutionaries.[9]

Trivia
- Faust may be named after the legendary German scholar who is said to have sold his soul to the Devil for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures. This follows the black magic theme of the Hawkins Pirates.
- Faust is the only known mink to originate from a place other than Zou.[3]
- In the Digitally Colored Manga, Faust was originally colored black like in the anime during all of their pre-timeskip appearances. Their color scheme was changed to tan during their appearances post-timeskip to more accurately reflect their shading in manga.[4]
- Faust is the second member of the Mink Tribe to be seen in the series. The first being Bepo.
- Faust is referred to with male pronouns in the VIZ translation of SBS Volume 86. However, the original Japanese version does not use any gendered terms.[4] Vivre Card - One Piece Visual Dictionary leaves Faust's "gender" field blank.[3]
