Vehicles are physical craft created or appropriated for the purpose of transportation from one place to another.
Ships

Ships are the most common vehicle seen in the world due to its large oceanic makeup. With occasional exceptions, anyone wishing to get from one island to another must ride a ship. Ships can range from small rowboats and rafts to massive dreadnoughts that rival even islands in size. The island of Thriller Bark was converted into a massive ship, and Water 7's administration plans to do the same to their island city in the future. The Germa Kingdom is located entirely on a fleet of large ships that can link together. Pirate ships are commonly seen on the seas in the Great Age of Pirates, and the Marines command a massive fleet of ships to oppose them.
Most ships are piloted through the water by rowing or sailing, with a few advanced ships being powered by engines. In Skypiea, another form of power known as the Breath Dial is used; after taking in a sufficient amount of wind, it can release the wind on command to help ships move across the sea, and works in both the White Sea and the Blue Sea. They are often used to power Wavers, a craft that is predominantly used in the Sky Islands which resembles a scooter.[1] Submarines also exist, like the Polar Tang and Shark Submerge III, that enable riders to travel underwater.

Steeds

Animal steeds are a common form of land transportation in much of the world that lacks advanced transportation technology, and some steeds are capable of swimming or flying. Certain animal species have been largely domesticated by people to carry them, and overall a large variety of animals have been used for transportation once tamed. Steeds can either act as mounts or carriage pullers.
Some slaves are known to act as steeds for the World Nobles as part of the subhuman treatment they receive from their masters.
Examples of Steeds
- Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops: A group of Super Spot-Billed Ducks who serve the Arabasta Kingdom. Karoo, Nefertari Vivi's pet and particular steed, serves as their captain.
- Banchi: A giant turtle used by Miss All Sunday for aquatic and terrestrial transportation of carriages.
- Robson: A hippo. Wapol's personal steed during the Drum Island Arc
- Tony Tony Chopper: Before meeting the Straw Hat Pirates, Chopper would transport Kureha around Drum Island by pulling her in a sleigh. After the timeskip, Chopper's original reindeer form has grown in size and stature, allowing others to ride him.
- Matsuge: A camel who only allows beautiful women to ride him. Now part of the Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops.
- Hasami: A giant desert crab that can carry multiple people at once. Currently works at Ukkari Hot-Spring Island, transporting customers from Arabasta to Goro's hot springs.
- Stronger: A sickly horse that acts as a steed for his equally as sick owner Doc Q.
- Pierre: Gan Fall's personal steed. A bird who ate the Uma Uma no Mi, allowing him to turn into a horse and, consequently, a pegasus in hybrid form.
- Fuza: Shura's personal steed. A three-longed bird.
- Shelly: Tonjit's personal steed. A long-necked, long-limbed horse.
- Sodom and Gomorrah: Two enormous Yagara Bulls used by the Franky Family for transportation.
- Motobaro: Duval's personal bison steed, capable of moving both on land and water.
- Hoe: A whale. Neptune's personal steed.
- Camel: A large penguin that Kuzan uses to travel through the sea.
- Farul: Cavendish's personal steed. A white horse.
- Ucy: A gladiator of the Corrida Colosseum. Befriended by Monkey D. Luffy, who was able to ride him during the Colosseum's C-Block fight and subsequent battle against the Donquixote Pirates.
- Wany: Wanda's steed, adapted to terrestrial and aquatic movement. The species as a whole are known as Wanies and serve as steeds for the Mink Tribe.
- Homies: Certain inanimate objects brought to life by the Soru Soru no Mi can be used to carry people. Examples include the cloud Zeus and sun Prometheus who carry Big Mom, Charlotte Pudding's flying carpet Rabiyan, the tree Kingbaum, and the crane that Randolph rides on.
- Nyasha: A large cat utilized by Germa 66 to pull their carriages.
- Komachiyo: A komainu who serves as Kurozumi Tama's pet.
- Speed: A horse SMILE-user and Shinuchi of the Beasts Pirates. Used as a steed by Monkey D. Luffy and Tama after being tamed by the latter's Devil Fruit powers.
Bikes

Bikes are rarely seen vehicles. They can be either powered manually with pedals, or have advanced motors that enable fast movement.
Examples of Bikes
- Billower Bike: A three-wheeled motorbike owned by Smoker. He powers it by generating smoke with the Moku Moku no Mi.
- Ao Chari: A manually-powered pedal bike belonging to Kuzan. He uses it in conjunction with his Hie Hie no Mi ability to travel across the ocean by freezing it.
- Kurosai FR-U IV: A three-wheeled motorcycle created by Franky.
Lifts
The Bondola lift used in one of the Red Ports.
Lifts are cable-powered vehicles meant primarily for vertical transportation among different elevations. As such, they are very common in mountainous areas.
Examples of Lifts
- Drum Castle Ropeway: An aerial tram-way that connects the various villages of Drum Island to the Drum Castle atop the Drum Rockies.
- Bondolas: Lifts that utilize bubble technology similar to the Bon Chari. They are located on both halves of the Red Port and serve to transport people between the port and Mary Geoise, atop the Red Line.
Trains

The Sea Train Puffing Tom.
The only known train in the world is the Sea Train, a trio of steam-powered boxcar trains that run on a set of rails which float freely in the ocean, lurking centimeters below its surface. The Sea Train was conceived and built by the shipwright Tom of Water 7's Galley-La Company, who designed it to connect Water 7 with several neighboring islands including the World Government judicial island Enies Lobby.[2]
Examples of Trains
- Puffing Tom: The sea train designed by Tom. Used for commercial purposes.
- Rocketman: A prototypical sea train designed by Tom. It could only travel at dangerously high speeds, lacked brakes and had no reliable steering function, making it essentially a runaway train.
- Puffing Ice: The sea train designed by the Galley-La Company after the timeskip.
Aircraft
Weatheria balloon ships.
There are few non-sentient forms of aerial transportation that have been seen so far, with just about every known flying machine being powered by a Devil Fruit.
Examples of Aircraft
- Maxim: Enel's personal aircraft, powered by electricity from the Goro Goro no Mi and a backup Jet Dial system.
- Flying Gas Balloon: Caesar Clown's personal aircraft, powered by gas-filled balloons.
- Island Ship: Shiki's flagship, which he helms telekinetically with the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi.
- An unnamed airship which acts as the headquarters of the World Economy News Paper.
Fujitora has been seen using his Zushi Zushi no Mi abilities to pilot a Marine battleship through the air.[3] The headquarters of the World Economy News Paper also doubles as an airship carried by balloons and birds, so that Morgans may move from location to location when being pursued by the government.[4]
Mechas

Mechas are giant humanoid or animal-like machines controlled by a pilot. They are also sometimes called "robots" (ロボ, robo?), though not all robots are vehicles.
Examples of Mechas
- Gorilla Puncher 13: Foxy's mech.
- Gorilla Puncher 18: The Gorilla Puncher 13's successor.
- General Franky: Franky's personal mecha modeled after himself. It is formed by combining the Kurosai FR-U IV and the Brachio Tank V.
- Vegaforce-01: A massive mecha created by Vegapunk. It has anti-gravity technology and jet engines which allow it to fly, though only in specific climates.
- Roba-san Kick 18: Porche's mech in the anime.
Miscellaneous Vehicles
- Shooters are dial-powered skates used by the Shandia and Enel's God's Army, allowing both forces to travel through Sea Clouds on foot. Jet Boards are a variation that can be surfed on, but otherwise utilize the same mechanisms.
- The Foxy Fighter is a small glider that Foxy can ride in battle thanks to his Noro Noro no Mi.
- Bon Chari are special bubbles that are outfitted for people to ride on the Sabaody Archipelago. People ride them by operating pedals that make a propeller spin and push the craft forward. They are only found on Sabaody, as the bubbles pop outside of its environment.
- The Brachio Tank V is a tank built by Franky on Karakuri Island. It is a large vehicle that moves on treads and possesses a powerful cannon to use in battle.
- The Vacuum Rocket is a high speed tram system located in Egghead, used primarily for locomotion between the lower Fabiriophase and the upper Labophase.
- The Vegatank-08 is a special vehicle designed by Vegapunk built with Island Clouds for all-terrain mobility and a resin bubble cockpit for general protection.
